Nuriev is Russell Hergert, a wandering Canadian who grew up in the Jamaican sound-system scene before becoming the Global VP of Virgin Records. In 2003 he bailed out of vinyl, married a Swiss model from the upper classes and restarted his own digital label in Zurich (www.phreemusic.com).
