Martin the Tailor

Shot on a Sony EX1 by director Galen Summer, this short documentary about the legendary Brooklyn tailor Martin Greenfield is something we particularly enjoyed here at First. In the sharply shot film, Greenfield (who has dressed Presidents) speaks of his early days in a transitional New York and the complex nature of what many might regard as a dying craft.

Entertaining and informative.

First presents: The 9.72 T

You might recall, unless you REALLY have your head in the sand, that Usain Bolt broke Asafa Powell’s 100m world record with a 9.72 run in NYC a few weeks ago.

Despite his precocious talent over the 200m, Bolt’s performances over this new distance have jolted the world of athletics. He already warned us early in May with a run of 9.76 at the National Stadium.

So, who won’t be there for national trials at the end of June when the world’s two fastest men go head-to-head?

GET the commemorative t-shirt, guaranteed premium quality – if not guaranteed to make you run less slow – from the First EU boutique/Spreadshirt.
